It has been a year since I last had time to post to this page. I have been so very busy getting the last two units of my third year project finished. The post human drawing machine is attached to the body allowing the participant to draw in the sand or other loose surface.
VAR32 Art Visual Research 4 Assessment 2 Exercise 1 Option B.
Create a Drawing Machine attached to the human body. Attaching chalk to string and then to the leg. Would this work? No it did not. Then general idea was to have fun did we do that. YES. The last square in a board game is known as Home.
As a child I loved to play board games, one of which is Snakes and Ladders. A simple game of chance roll the dice and work you way home Land on the bottom of a ladders climb and you can reach the top faster. BUT beware of the Snakes, you land on their head and you slide down to their tail send you backward down the board. The head piece of this outfit is made from thermal plastic. The Yellow represents the player piece and the colour it would choose to be when playing the game. The lower part is made of patched worked curtain and sheeting materials the materials I use when I was taught to sew. The black square dividers are satin quilting tape. The snakes are constructed from sequined poly vinyl printed jersey. With a thermal plastic moulded head, the ladders are cotton and thermal plastic to give them structure. The games of Snakes and Ladders has its origans in India it was used to teach number, and behaviours. As the player roll the dice and add the new number to their place on the board you advance quickly by climbing the ladders which represent the good qualities in live, friendship, honesty and respect. Then there are the snakes that represent poor qualities that effect lives, dishonesty, lust, greed. The idea of the game is to make it to the final square which is known as HOME. Like the board game this piece is also a square.. |
